The Autumn Tag!

Updated: Oct 10, 2018

Picture: Abbie from What Abbie Says

I have an extra post for you today, aside from the usual Friday one I post every week; The fabulous Girl Meets Debt started this I <3 Autumn tag last year on her blog to celebrate the start of this lovely season.

The fabulous Abbie from What Abbie Says nominated me, one of the few people on Twitter who inspired me to get into blogging again, friend/mutual but quite simply one of my best blogging friends; lifestyle, going out, baking, etc and she's doing Blogtober, plus she is also one of the GIF queens and FUNNEH.

Rules for the Autumn/Fall tag

Below are some questions about what Autumn means to you. If you’re a blogger who wants to join in the Autumn fun, then you just need to publish the questions and answers on your own blog linking back to my post here, or linking back to the person who nominated you.

If you’re not a blogger, then don’t worry as you can still join in by answering in the comments section at the bottom of this post!

What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

Leaves falling, when I was younger going to Greenwich Park and it's market was always a thing for us, so seeing the crisp leaves on the ground is definitely a sign that Autumn is here.

What is your favourite Autumn scent?

Cinnamon

What is you favourite Autumn colour?

Bronze. I associate reds more with winter and Christmas.

Are you a fan of a PSL (pumpkin spice latte) ?

I've never actually tried it to be honest. I've never had a sweet tooth; aside from time of the month, or am really low, or when visiting parents and grandparents I don't really eat or drink sweet things (unless you count coke). When it comes to coffee I like it plain and would much prefer a plain latte over an egg nog, gingerbread or pumpkin one. But given I love Harry Potter and would stomach a butterbeer just say I tried one (I know!) I guess I should try, especially if me and Abbie do meet, she would pester me until I relented haha.

What’s your favourite coffee shop and their drink of choice?

Flat white

Apple pie or Pumpkin pie?

Apple pie

What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to in the next few months?

Well, it was Stranger Things but I realised they pushed it back to the next summer so I am disappointed about that. Riverdale definitely looking forward to, but need to power through the second season so am up to date before the season is on air. I am REALLY trying with The Good Place but I switch off a lot with that, Jameela Jamil is in it and I LOVE HER.

What is your favorite Autumn fashion trend?

Coats and layers. Dr Martens, Timbalands as well as all black trainers.

What is your favourite Autumn activity?

Going round parks and markets

Are you a fan of horror movies?

Absolutely not. At most, all you'll get me to watch is Hocus Locus, Strnager Things, Riverdale and Killing Eve hahaha, I am a wuss. Count me out if it contains blood, guts and gore.

Do you ever do anything fun for Halloween?

More when I was a student, I go to the odd party at my local or round my friends but that's it.

What was your favourite part about halloween as a child?

Getting the sweets from Trick or Treat, I was bullied a lot as a kid so understandably I wasn't allowed. I think I did it once or twice and then to the fair over the road at the community centre near where I live.

Are you a bigger fan of Bonfire night or Halloween?

Bonfire Night was more of a thing in the UK, it's only been in the last twenty years Halloween has taken off here- still not as celebrated as it is in the US (red cups red cups). Pretty much from Halloween and the days after Bonfire Night fireworks go off all the time. Our fair near where I used to live growing up has merged the celebrations of the fair so we see Halloween rides, attractions as well as Guy Fawkes straw puppets bring on the bonfire.

Where is your dream destination to visit in the Autumn?

If you pick a time that doesn't clash with half-term of Christmas then definitely New York, my preferred time to go is either October or February.

Do you always forget about the clocks going back?

Yes I do, if it wasn't for my love of technology I would forget, so pleased I don't have a car yet, and that my oven doesn't have a clock for that reason.

When do you usually start preparing for Christmas?

I am always skint, so not usually until November pay day.
